What is SCD Writers Club

SCD Writer’s Club is an initiative bringing sickle cell stakeholders to put their experiences in written. Sickle Cell Warriors, Caregivers and Advocate have a chance to tell their stories by contributing to three books to be published twice a year.

These books are a collection of stories from people from different parts of the world all coming together for the common goal of highlighting issues in the sickle cell community. To join this initiative contact Agnes on info@scdtalks.coms

Telling Stories

The power of telling stories highlights issues in our community. It is also a healing process once someone reaches the acceptance stage in the process of grieving. The SCD Writer’s project will enhance to change the narrative of sickle cell disease in different communities.

There has been a lot negative stories told why people shy away from discussing sickle cell disease in some parts of the world. This platform is a safe space where we are all telling stories from different experiences, all coming together with one goal in mind.
